The next piece in my portfolio includes a sample of the work that I did during the creation of my own start-up with the intention to apply knowledge acquired during research (see portfolio sample 2 on my blog) and at school.

The link below contains a presentation that was created with a team of people that I led to develop a mock-up and prototype of a mobile application to use Augmented Reality to build customer engagement in brick and mortar stores.  The Team I led consisted on designers, marketers, technical and financial members.

My passion to discover new technologies that can be applied in business led me to write an extensive research paper during my MBA together with a colleague: Federico Marquez.

Our focus was the use of a new technology called: "Augmented Reality" in the Mobile Marketing Industry. This technology allows to superimpose information on top of the real world through the use of screens or glass (as it is the case of the Google goggles). Please note that this research paper was written 2 years before the Google goggles became real and the paper describes business applications that are now current in 2013.

This first piece of my portfolio depicts an example of process analysis and re-engineering work that I did as a Business and Technology Consultant.

The images attached show a current view of complex financial, HR and Payroll processes in a real organization where I executed process re-engineering work. It also depicts the a future vision of those processes with streamlined flows and after the implementation of an information system (ERP) to manage the processes.

My role consisted on meeting with executives and stakeholders in the organization to identify gaps and propose technology solutions and process changes in order to improve the processes.
